Description: The new University
of North Dakota Student Wellness Center is a driving force
for multidimensional wellness. This 107,000 square foot, state of
the art facility, is committed to enhancing the quality
of life on the University of North Dakota campus. This
$20 million gift from students offers 10,000 square
feet of weight equipment as well as 5,000 square feet
of cardio equipment.

To encompass all dimensions
of wellness the Wellness Center has added unique features
including the Burnt Toast demonstration kitchen where
members can learn how to cook healthy and nutritious
meals, the Hopper-Danley Memorial Quiet Lounge for meditation,
and massage therapy to ease the stresses of life. Other
main attractions are the 28 foot hand sculpted rock wall
and high-energy spin studio with 21 state of the art
spin bikes.
The UND Student Wellness Center is a cutting
edge operation that seeks to enhance lifestyles for a
lifetime through a seven dimensional approach to wellness. This

| Paramount equipment can be spotted
all along the Wellness Center weight floor where selectorized
and plate loaded machines make up 50 of the 180 machines. Stefanie
Meyer, Wellness Center Coordinator of Fitness, states “to
meet the needs of our campus population, the variety of
Paramount weight equipment was a good match. The
pieces we have are conducive for all levels of weight lifters.” |
