Description: The YMCA is located within the 100,00 square
foot, $24 million MacBain Community Centre in Niagara
Falls, Ontario. This community hub offers recreational,
health and educational family services for all ages,
ability and incomes. This new YMCA is anticipated to
serve over 8,000 members, plus thousands of residents
in community outreach programs.

Description: The 54,360 square foot Niagara Centre YMCA
is on the campus of Niagara College on Woodlawn Road,
in Welland, Ontario. This new $14.3 million YMCA will
serve over 6,500 members, plus serve thousands of Welland
and Pelham residents in community outreach programs.

The spirit of partnership
is alive and well in the MacBain Community Centre in both
the design of the facility and in the diversity of services
offered by the MacBain Community Centre Partners: City
of Niagara Falls Parks, Culture and Recreation, YMCA of
Niagara – Niagara Falls Membership Centre, Niagara
Falls Public Library, Coronation 50+ Satellite Recreation
Centre, Niagara Falls Big Brothers Big Sisters, Heart Niagara
Inc., and The United Way.
Ted McDonnell, YMCA Centre Manager, Niagara Falls, states, “Paramount
strength equipment is featured in the 7,500 00 square foot
state-of-the-art fitness center, which includes a beginner
area.” Jody Kyle, VP of Membership Centres, states, "We
purchased Paramount because of its non-intimadating design,
user-friendly features and low profile. We felt this equipment
would serve the diversity of our membership well and contribute
to a YMCA environment that is open to all."
The YMCA facility includes: a lap pool, leisure pool with
beach entry, swirlbench and spray; on deck sauna, water
slide, triple gymnasium, 3 multipurpose rooms, Play Centre
for Child Minding service, group fitness studio, indoor
walking track, plus racquet and squash courts. |

Other facility features include a lap pool,
