We discussed in our last eNewsletter the importance
of choosing equipment that meets all of the industry safety
standards. In order to meet industry standards a product
must pass a wide range of testing protocols including stability,
static load, clearance, and endurance.
Paramount has been at the forefront
of industry standards for over 15 years. As such Paramount’s
strength equipment is subject to an in-house testing
protocol which exceeds US
industry standards by a factor of 2 and European standards
by a factor of 5.
Full scale product testing is time
consuming. Paramount’s
testing protocol takes up to 4 months to complete for a
piece of strength equipment and up to 9 months for individual
cardio products. Typically, products that pass the rigors
of the standards testing protocol will perform well in
a heavy-use club environment.
Why does this matter? As a facility operator
your goal is to provide your members with a quality experience
while remaining fiscally responsible. Limiting equipment
downtime enhances the member experience while limiting
out-of-pocket equipment repair costs adds to the bottom
line. Manufacturers like Paramount that combine long-term
industry experience and engineering know-how with consistent
product testing understand what is required to provide
you with strength and cardio products that can withstand
the rigors of the most demanding high-use commercial facilities.
When outfitting your facility with new equipment take the
time to ask questions about product testing. Your members
and accountant will thank you. |
